Understanding of evidence-based research methods and modern statistical approaches are the keys for successful research in medicine our days. The main problem of domestic research is a lack of modern methodology and the main drawback of projects that developed by international donors is lack of understanding of domestic issues. The main goal of the project is to help to adjust for these issues.

Aims:

To identify strength and weaknesses of research in Kyrgyz medicine
To inform main stakeholders about research results in the area
To provide methodological and statistical support for domestic researchers
Our group contains specialists in health services and policy as well as epidemiology, biostatistics and economics, moreover, we collaborate with specialists from different areas of medicine.

The group hosted the round table and presented results of study “Current state and perspective of medical science in Kyrgyzstan” during a round table that was attended by member of the Kyrgyz Parliament, Vice Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, chairwoman of High Attestation Commission of Kyrgyzstan, members of National Academy of Science of Republic of Kyrgyzstan, directors of medical institutions and heads of scientific divisions of Kyrgyzstan. By the end of regional meeting resolution with recommendations to health authorities was developed.
